Banta cabin & Low Dutch Cemetery
I wanted to share pictures of our trip to Pennsylvania a couple of weeks ago. The Banta cabin and the Low Dutch cemetery are both in bad shape. Uncertain of their future.

I thought there were more photos of the Cemetery wall damage?
We were able to visit the cemetery in 2014. David Demerest was the husband of my 5th great grandmother.
Cornelius Banta was my 4th great grandfather born in Kentucky!
I visited this cemetery last week and drove down Low Dutch Road to celebrate my heritage. I believe Cornelius Cozine is my 6th great-grandfather (through his daughter Jane and Lucas Van Arsdale).

Henricke Banta is my paternal (6great) grandfather. Does anyone know if the Banta log cabin is still standing and is it right across the street from the cemetery. I went on Google maps and I do not see a home. Thanks. Bonnie
The cemetary is down the road from the cabin. The property it is on is to the left of the home @1161 Swift Run Rd. Conewago, PA. I believe that is who owns the property. I wish the Banta descendants would purchase from current ower and make a historic landmark. FUTURE GOALS!!
I haven’t gotten to see any of it but, Hendrick Banta the 3rd is my 7th Great-Grandfather. So it’s pretty cool seeing pictures and finding out facta.
It is on google maps. It is on 1161 Swift Run Rd, Conewago, PA.
It is just to the left of the house. This footage was from 2019.
Hendricks was my 5xs great grandfather. My parents visited the cabin years ago and I have never been. The owner of the property was preent that day and brought them inside.
What is latest on the cabin, looks like good roof, it will last another hundred years
